- Subway
Já já já! My neighbours managed to tempt me to go with them to Lincoln today instead of going to the gym. Must go tomorrow. But anyway, so there we were in Lincoln which is a very lovely place. After some serious looking around for a parking space and finally finding, we got out of the car to walk around and get to know Lincoln by foot. We walked up a road which was up a very steep hill with the imaginative name 'Steep Hill'. Unbelievable, right..! So then we saw a church and a castle and loads of shops. As we were walking we realized that we would looooove a Subway. Subway is not easily found in the UK. But I had looked on www.subway.co.uk (Not that I am in anyway addicted to Subway...) last night and Björgvin seemed to know as well that in Lincoln there should be a Subway place. So we sent Auður in to a bútasaumsbúð- (quiltshop) to ask for Subway. She came out bearing the tidings that we would have to walk back down the steep hill, and down and down and a bit further down and then it should be on the left. So we continued walking up. You see, we are not ones to be tricked or anything. So after some very nice tourist playing and narrowly escaping being shat on by a wicked pigeon -yugh- we started our journey down in search of Subway.
Ah, bliss, we found it and I bought 2 subs. One to have in the morning, you see. We also discovered that we had parked as close to Subway as really comfortably possible. Talking about someone working in mysterious ways..!? The thing I find rather amusing about the Lincoln Subway, are the opening hours. They are open from 7.30 - 18 on weekdays, and something very similar during weekends. Hahaha, this would never do in Iceland!!
But I have now found out where to go when the 'Subway need' comes over me.
Not that I will be able to go much anywhere since my, now not so, trusty car is playing up. Hick-up-ing and in general just misbehaving. Must do something about that soon.... Paaaabbiiii!!
Well, this will be enough for now,
Take care!
