Well, I have been at work. I was woken up yesterday morning - before 9.00!!! I was supposed to be at work at 16.00 but they rang and me, the fool I am said yes that I would come in. Ohh, it was great fun. Then I just popped out to go see the doctor, I had plans to renew my driving licence and needed some piece of paper to confirm that I am hand and eye co-ordinated and know the difference between red, yellow and green. I am sure glad that there are no traffic lights down by the terminal. Anyway, I was there all day. In my lunch break I went to the shop that sells alcohol, yessiree the 'Ríkið' and had a slight shock. It is so expensive to drink in this country. so I bought nothing, at least not there. Kiddi Gallagher, who is a current superstar - he is on the telly every time I turn it on ! - and I went to Ikea, we had a hotdog. Mmmm, the first real hotdog for a long time, and it was cheap. Fantastic. Then back to work where I doodled my time away until midnight.

This morning I visited the Police station regarding my new driving license and that is turning out to be a problem. They want my current licence but I don't want them to have it. Besides, the new one wont be ready until after I am in the UK and I am not prepared to drive there sporting a useless and crappy piece of paper, NB, all in Icelandic. So now I am not sure what to do. Will my stubborness win or what.... I have already gone to have the required photo taken and to the dctors and these things are not cheap. Oh, the pressure!!! To be stubborn, silly and poor or sensible and save some money? Who said Hamlet had problems?!
